?? Chilly temps in the Upper Midwest create multiple barriers when it comes to decarbonizing residential buildings. Luckily, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) created the Building America program for just these types of difficult-to-solve problems. We're pleased to announce that Slipstream will serve as the research lead on a new Building America project—in collaboration with the Center for Energy and Environment (CEE) and Elevate—that will test ways to deploy scalable decarbonization in residential properties. Our overall goal is to develop decision-making tools and a process for auditors and contractors to use with building owners to increase the percentage of owners who implement optimal decarbonization solutions.
