Yesterday, every student in our Utility Line Worker Program at the Chester Center received brand new line worker boots at no cost to them. Boots may seem like a insignificant gift, but in this profession, a quality pair is expensive, making the equipment cost a barrier to education for many students. ?? This endeavor was made possible through the York Technical College Foundation, Duke Energy Corporation, and the Duke Energy Personal Protective Equipment Scholarship.
