Many women have inspired, taught, cultivated, supported, and accompanied my growth as a person and professional. But for this Slice Communications campaign, I can't not lift up Bridget Gillespie Paverd. I could not have dreamed up the mentor and partner I found in you. You challenged me, trusted me, educated me about comms and crisis and living a fulfilling life; you believed in me, nudged me (sometimes not-so-gently!) to try something new or take leadership before I felt ready... all in the spirit of learning, and making meaningful change, and not holding back our gifts (and our colleagues' and clients' gifts) from the world. And having some fun along the way! We Got This. #mentHER #WomensHistoryMonth

This #WomensHistoryMonth, I want to shout out some of my #mentHERS. First, to Charlotte C., who took a chance on me when I was just starting out. You were my social media marketing guru, showing me the ropes and unleashing my creative potential while showing me the power of challenging the status quo. You taught me to stand tall, speak my truth, and never settle for less. And let's not forget, you were the most stunning bride! ?? You opened a door for me, a path that led me to the next amazing mentor in my life. Dana Schmidt, you taught me to own my expertise, package it with confidence, and share it with the world. You showed me it’s okay to take up space at any table, regardless of its size. You demonstrated how to build a positive, trusting culture in management- one where people trust you. I am eternally grateful for the opportunities and lessons these two have given me. I can only hope to honor their impact by paying it forward, just like I strive to do for my own mentees like my Jenna Jenkins??
