To improve access to #sleep testing in #children let's “think outside the PSG-box” like Funke Afolabi-Brown, MD, FAASM and offer an equally accurate alternative to evaluate sleep and diagnosis of #SleepApnea. This is where our SleepImage System makes a difference. As an FDA-cleared & MDR CE-marked #solution, it enables accessible, accurate, multi-night sleep testing for #children as young as two years old. With the SleepImage System, providers can make data-driven #treatment decisions and ensure #children receive the right care at the right time – whether that means evaluating sleep quality for health outcomes, diagnosis or tracing treatment efficacy. It’s time to rethink pediatric care. Should sleep evaluation become a standard part of wellness visits? Rethinking Adenotonsillectomy: A #DataDriven Approach to Pediatric Sleep Apnea Adenotonsillectomy is the most common #pediatric surgery and often the first-line treatment for children with #SleepApnea. Yet, many #children undergo surgery without objective sleep testing to confirm their diagnosis. Unnecessary surgery is never best practice. Objective #data is essential to identifying which children truly need intervention and which may experience spontaneous resolution of their condition. Research shows that healthy-weight children with mild OSA and a high Sleep Quality Index (SQI) are more likely to naturally outgrow #SleepApnea—and they also tend to have better attention, executive function, and quality of life. This is where the SleepImage System makes a difference. As an FDA-cleared & MDR CE-marked solution, it enables accessible, accurate, multi-night sleep testing for #children as young as two years old—capturing intra-night variability and tracking treatment efficacy over time. With the SleepImage System, providers can make data-driven #treatment decisions and ensure that #children receive the right care at the right time—whether that means tracking disease progression or confirming the need for surgery. It's time to shift from assumption-based treatment to objective, personalized care in #pediatric sleep medicine. https://lnkd.in/gSWktKmD #PediatricSleep #SleepApnea #SleepImage #SleepMedicine #SleepQuality #HealthcareInnovation

?? High Prevalence of #SleepApnea in Preschoolers – Lack of #TherapyTracking is Concerning Did you know that over 20% of young children are estimated to have #SleepApnea? Adenotonsillectomy is the most common first-line treatment, but surgery isn’t always a cure—making ongoing #TherapyTracking essential for long-term health and quality of life. The SleepImage System offers an Accessible, Accurate, and Available #solution for diagnosing and tracking sleep-disordered breathing in #children. Using our FDA-cleared & MDR CE-marked Cardiopulmonary Coupling (CPC) method, providers can assess #SleepQuality and therapy success in #children as young as two years old, including multi-night monitoring to capture intra-night variability. Better #sleep evaluation leads to better outcomes—because when it comes to children's health, every night counts. ?? https://lnkd.in/gSWktKmD Sleep Review #PediatricSleep #SleepMedicine #SleepTesting #HealthcareInnovation #SleepQuality #SleepAndBreathing #BritishSleepSociety

Did you know that #SleepApnea affects over 20% of young children? Early childhood is a critical period for physical and cognitive development, making #SleepQuality and #SleepDuration essential for growth and well-being. #SleepApnea disrupts both, leading to significant health risks-including behavioral, neurocognitive, cardiovascular, and metabolic complications. The SleepImage method, based on cardiopulmonary coupling (CPC), is an FDA-cleared & MDR CE-marked #solution designed for accurate and accessible sleep assessment in children ages 2 and up. It's time to prioritize better #sleep testing for children. https://lnkd.in/g4a3cXJp Lizzie Hill #SleepandBreathing #SleepMedicineReviews #BritishSleepSociety #ChildrensHealth #Pediatrics #HealthCare

Sleep changes over the lifespan. A?recent?publication?Sex-specific Changes in Sleep Quality with Aging?from a group of?researchers?lead by Dr. Lourdes DelRosso MD, PhD found that in women, after 50 years of age, there is a more rapid?decrease?in the Sleep Quality Index (SQI) than in men - more?research?is needed on gender differences in #sleep. Today, on?International Day of Women & Girls in Science, emphasizing that women’s participation is essential for building a better world through #science. The SleepImage team would like to?sincerely?congratulate Dr. Lourdes DelRosso MD, PhD on her most?recent?recognition having?received?the 2025 Mary A. Carskadon (Mary Carskadon) Outstanding Educator Award from the Sleep?Research?Society. Let's celebrate these two respected and world-renowned #female?sleep scientists! Discover how SleepImage's innovative Cardiopulmonary Coupling (CPC) method redefines #sleep assessment by focusing on autonomic nervous system activity. While cortical #sleep staging is currently perceived as the standard method to evaluate sleep, it is based on convention rather than clinical relevance over autonomic nervous system (ANS) sleep staging.?#Sleep was historically considered a quiet state, but more recent experimental and clinical evidence suggests a noteworthy activation of different biological systems where?ANS?plays a key role.?The #SleepImage Team?has spent the last 20 years developing its #proprietary method, Cardiopulmonary Coupling (CPC) detecting changes in the ANS during sleep to calculate sleep states, stages and sleep quality. https://lnkd.in/gp8enGW6 #BritishSleepSociety?#Healthcare?#PublicHealth #SleepImage #SleepMedicine #Technology #MentalHealth #DigitalHealth

In the past 20 years, SleepImage has been working on the development of Cardiopulmonary Coupling (CPC) software that is FDA cleared and MDR-CE marked. During sleep, autonomic nervous system (ANS) dynamics can be recorded and interpreted in a similar way to derive sleep stages as from the electroencephalogram. Measuring sleep from the brain is complex and costly demanding progress and simpler approach for sleep evaluation. In the past 20-years?SleepImage has been working on developing such a method that is now FDA cleared & MDR-CE marked to evaluate sleep and diagnosis of sleep disorders in children and adults https://lnkd.in/gp8enGW6 #healthequity #mentalhealth #healthcare #technology #digitalhealth #publichealth #sleepimage #britishsleepsociety
