Megan Tomlinson makes her IMSA debut at Daytona International Speedway! The action kicks off today at 1:45pm ET as the green flag drops for the 4-hour season opener. Megan will be co-piloting the #37 Audi RS 3 LMS in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge with Precision Racing LA for the 2025 season. Meet Isabella! Isabella Cerquozzi is an aerospace engineering graduate from Carleton University, where her passion for motorsport flourished. During her studies, she was a key member of Carleton’s Formula Student team, serving as the engine management engineer and applying her expertise to optimize vehicle performance. Her journey continued with an internship as a junior data engineer for Tomlinson Motorsports during the FEL SCCC 2024 season, where she further honed her skills in data analysis and racing technology. Now, Isabella brings her rich blend of aerospace knowledge and motorsport experience to Slate Racing, driving innovation and enhancing team performance with her unique technical insights. #engineering #SlateRacing #womeninmotorsports #womensupportingwomen

This is especially true in Canada where half a dozen Canadian women have founded a brand new entirely female owned and operated racing team – a first in the North American country’s history - Slate Racing. ?? Who’s in this team? 1?? Erika Hoffmann - FIA Rally Star Competitor and a former member of Ottawa Children’s Choir. ?? 2?? Megan Leahy - Miata Racing Driver and a teacher. ?????? 3?? Ellen Sanders - IMSA - International Motor Sports Association Tyre Technician and a former artist. ?? 4?? Morgan Smillie - Data Analyst, Marshall and pro pianist protégé. ?? 5?? Megan Tomlinson - TCR Racing Driver and a former competitive dancer. ???? Speaking with the team recently allowed me to see first hand the passion that they all have for what they do, on and off track, as well as the sentiment of camaraderie that they’ve already established with one another. Without these qualities and the bonds between them all, the ambitious future of Slate Racing would perhaps look more clouded, more uncertain.
