Who said Brits can’t hang in the States? ?? Spent this weekend at the Apple Vision OS hackathon, creating a DOGO VR experience that took home first prize. What we built feels more like magic than reality and can’t wait for you all to experience what we’re calling the DOGO teleportation service. The way people build in the Bay is on a different level ??With 2 designers and 4 developers we build in a day what might have taken 2/3 months. Was a pleasure to build alongside my teammates Christopher Khaing, Waldemar Osmala, Lawrence Lin, Nasif Zaman and Chaitanya Landge. ?? Exciting News! ?? Yesterday, my team and I participated in the?VisionOS Hackathon, sponsored by?SpatialCut, and had an amazing time creating something unique. The event was a perfect blend of creativity, collaboration, and cutting-edge technology, with hands-on support, Vision Pros on-site, and a vibrant XR community. Huge shoutout to the sponsors Treasury, AdXR, and SkyPorch for making this possible! Our project,?DoodleVision, a fun and interactive Pictionary app for Vision Pro, won the?Showcase Award???! It was an incredible experience working with such talented teammates. ?? Big thanks to everyone who provided feedback, especially?@TalbertHerndon, for insightful suggestions that will help us refine the app for the App Store. ?? Incredibly inspiring weekend hosting this visionOS hackathon in SF at daydream! Collective imagination led us to new, immersive experiences, for example: - multiplayer spatial painting - a survival-horror game using your room(s) as the map, enveloped in darkness, requiring an in-game sonar mechanic to navigate - spatial dating service inspired by those VHS equivalents in the 80s - another 50-60 projects that won’t fit into this post Many thanks to Cosmo Scharf , Matthew Hoerl , & Brian Boyd as organizers for Vision Hack.
