#WeShowUpWednesday At TriStar Skyline, our colleagues go above and beyond for our patients, our communities, and each other every day. This week, we spotlight Princess from Surgical Services, who has been with us for 45 years! Starting as a patient care tech at the original hospital, she’s now an RNFA and has served in Surgical Services for 30+ years. Princess’s favorite part? Serving God’s people and making a difference: "If it wasn't for God, I wouldn’t be where I am today. This is my purpose, and I’ll do it as long as I can." Princess is truly the example of caring like family. Thank you, Princess, for always showing up! #CaringLikeFamily #WeShowUp #RaisetheBar (ALT TEXT: Pictured is Princess, an RN in surgical services, who was spotlighted for #WeShowUpWednesday at TriStar Skyline. Our exceptional colleagues impact our patients' lives every day. We're wishing a huge congratulations to our recent DAISY Award recipient, Julia, RN on the 3rd floor. Julia was recognized for her ability to personally connect to the patient and family. During a vulnerable time for the patient, she made sure to connect with him on the things that made him a person, like sports – specifically women’s basketball, their dogs, and outside activities. The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses honors the super-human work nurses do for patients and families every day. Nominations are submitted by patients, family members, colleagues, physicians — anyone who experiences or observes extraordinary compassionate care being provided by a nurse. Thank you, Julia for creating personal connections and caring about the patient on a personal level. #DAISYAward #CareLikeFamily (ALT TEXT: Pictured is one of our recent DAISY Award recipients, Julia, RN on the 3rd floor, at TriStar Skyline. Our team at TriStar Skyline is committed to unlocking possibilities for our patients and each other. This #WeShowUpWednesday, meet Jordan Rahm, MPH, Research Manager, who’s been with us for over three years. Originally hired to build our trauma center's research program, her work now spans neuro, burn, PT/OT, and our comprehensive stroke program and clinical trial. Jordan is passionate about advancing healthcare through research, educating colleagues, and engaging them through events like "posters and pizza." Her recent discovery emphasized the importance of early ER visits for stroke symptoms for those right here in our backyard, inspiring more education for our local community. “The only way to improve lives is through evidence-based practices. Better patient care happens when we learn from what we do and make improvements based on research.” "I love the people here. They are the brightest and most dedicated individuals I have ever worked with and are dedicated to improving human lives." With over 60 project presentations and numerous publications, Jordan’s impact is clear. Thank you, Jordan, for your dedication to our patients, colleagues, and community! #UnlockPossiblities #ResearchMatters #RaisetheBar #WeShowUp (ALT TEXT: Pictured is Jordan Rahm, this week's #WeShowUpWednesday spotlight. Every day, we witness the strength and compassion that takes place within our hospital. It's witnessed in the care provided to patients, the compassion provided to colleagues, and in the hope provided to the communities that we serve. Recently, we were proud to share in this experience with our extended HCA Healthcare family as Russ Young, National Group CFO had the opportunity to shadow one of our incredible caregivers, Shannon Ghel, RN on the 7th floor. These "Walk in Your World" experiences allow those shadowing to identify best practices, streamline workflows and continue elevating the patient experience at TriStar Skyline and across our HCA Healthcare network of care. #RaisetheBar #UnlockPossiblities (ALT TEXT: Pictured is Russ Young, National Group CFO, with Shannon Ghel, RN on the 7th floor at TriStar Skyline.
