What a weekend! ?? On Saturday, May 18, over 700+ attendees joined us at Kaatsbaan Cultural Park for a day of music, nourishment, and community — all in support of Sky High Farm's mission to build food sovereignty. In a few short months, our tiny but mighty team gathered over $600K in financial and in-kind donation support. We welcomed 34 participants to the Sky High Farm Universe Marketplace: brands, designers, and other creative powerhouses who are aligned with our values of using commerce to foster social change. We launched 8 special collaborations — official Spring Picnic merch with Champion, Nike, The North Face, JanSport, Parley for the Oceans, REVERB, BIRKENSTOCK, Levi's, and more. For us, Beauty is nature's eternal wisdom; and the future of beauty is inspired by the land and the people that steward it. With our products, we wish to honor the seasonal lifecycle and yield of the land, while embracing ecologically-responsible farming methods that help to combat climate change. Today's beauty landscape is still largely based on harmful chemical-based trends. Instead of out-engineering nature we want to work in harmony with its natural cycles. By embracing this power, rather than conforming the planet to our will, we can begin to seed the change we need to see. Speechless! We woke up on Sunday to find our brand on the front page of the The New York Times Styles ?? We started this brand solely to galvanize support for the nonprofit Sky High Farm. In just two years, we've generated a donation of $690K across a diversity of industries and special projects (Every Customer is a Donor!). It’s incredible to commemorate this moment with Times and we are so grateful to Stella Bugbee, Jessica Iredale, alex hodor-lee, and Sophie Butcher for giving us the space to share our story. ???
