It is great reading this RenewaFi insight, following the latest load growth projections, the ERCOT market consistently delivers interesting developments, injecting new "energy" into the industry! Dudy Levy Doron Jacob Szportas
ERCOT’s latest load growth projections should be a major source of relief for solar originators. Our new “high load growth” scenario, which reflects ERCOT’s most recent long-term load forecast and interconnection queue data, shows positive signs for the long-term economics of solar energy in Texas. This is most clearly illustrated by looking at capture rates, which represent the percentage of value that a generation facility, such as solar or wind, is able to "capture" compared to the 24/7 (around-the-clock) value of energy. Originators have long feared that the saturation of solar would lead to steep declines in solar capture rates, as shown in the low load growth scenario below (the black line). But since ERCOT bumped up its demand forecast, solar capture rates now look like they might hold steady, as shown by the high load growth scenario below (the green line). The question is: will all this load growth actually materialize??

Thank you Sam Martens & Ken Oatman at Mission Solar for the hospitality and the insightful tour of the factory in San Antonio. We all think that our team Dudy Levy & Doron Jacob Szportas and Ron Hardin at Erthos looked at their best with the blue hair caps ;) #solar #DistributedGeneration #RenewableEnergy

RE+ Texas was a blast! However, just one day after the conference, when our team was on site visits, we got a reminder of how fragile the power is in Texas due to extreme weather events. Two tornados hit Houston on Thursday evening and within what seems to be minutes, a million people lost power, as the storm managed to create so much damage and even destroy a few of the city’s massive transmission towers! We will continue working to strengthen the power supply on the generation side through renewable energy projects near load centers. We appreciate and thank the CenterPoint personnel who are diligently repairing and working on the grid infrastructure to restore power, while also keeping projects’ interconnection progress, with responses being delivered on time and in a professional manner. Erthos, a prominent player in the #largescalesolar technology sector and the creator of Earth Mount Solar, has announced a significant development in its partnership with Sky Community Solar. Under a master agreement, Erthos will provide a 180-MW solar portfolio for projects in #Texas, varying in size from 9 MW to 18 MW and strategically situated near major population centers. Sky Community Solar, headquartered in #SanAntonio, highlighted the standardized and modular design of #EarthMountSolar as a key factor in selecting Erthos. The simplicity and uniformity of Earth Mount Solar were cited as advantageous, facilitating the master #agreement process. The system’s high energy density and minimal vertical profile were noted to optimize land usage, minimize visual impact, and streamline community approval processes. Construction on the first project is slated to commence later this year, with the entire portfolio expected to achieve commercial operation by the end of 2026. #Erthos #SkyCommunitySolar #SolarPower #RenewableEnergy #EarthMountSolar #solarEnergy #renewables #ClimateAction #Texas #USA #NorthAmerica Read more: https://lnkd.in/dSZQzDEY

Choosing the right sites is a challenging task, choosing the right partners could be even more challenging. With Erthos it was an easy choice, we know our 180MW pipeline will be in good hands, now we just need to run towards the finish line! ??♂? Thank you Charles Pimentel, Ron Hardin, Rick Vance, Albie Fong, Doron Jacob Szportas and Dudy Levy for making this partnership happen!
Modular design, lowest vertical profile, lowest cost, lowest land use — perfect for a community solar portfolio. Thank you for your partnership, Sky Community Solar, and looking forward to more projects in the Lone Star State! #communitysolar #texas #solar https://lnkd.in/gUjeqkVB

At Sky Community Solar our mission isn’t just about megawatts and ac/dc ratios; it’s about weaving a greener tapestry for generations to come. Navigating the intricate landscape of land acquisition is akin to embarking on a treasure hunt. Armed with your trusty GIS software, you unearth those hidden gems—plots of land that seem tailor-made for your renewable energy project. They’re topo friendly, nestled close to substations or crisscrossed by relevant power lines, and blessedly free from flood-prone areas. But hold your horses—here comes the real challenge. Engaging with brokers and landowners’ lawyers is a dance of negotiation, paperwork, and legal finesse. At Sky Solar, we understand that the groundwork is just the beginning. We’re not content with maps and coordinates; we want to be boots-on-the-ground listeners. Our partnership with landowners demands transparency, cooperation, and a shared vision. Whether it’s optimizing the solar array design, creating a flexible lease structure, or providing education on the process, after all, it’s a 30-year dance! ????
