Skuld is pleased to announce that we were chosen as a Semi-Finalist in this year's Most Fundable Companies competition. This is the top 100 out of over 2,400 entrants so not too shabby. Maybe next year we'll make the Finals since we have a lot of things we are rolling out in the next year and announcements soon. ?? Thanks to BRITE Energy Innovators, MAGNET: The Manufacturing Advocacy and Growth Network, Entrepreneurs' Center, Innovation Crossroads, and Spark Innovation Center at the UT Research Park for your help and support in getting us to this point.

Castings are essentially comprised of three things: Geometry, Metallurgy, and Technology. We have developed new technology that we call AMEC (Additive Manufacturing Evaporative Casting). This technology allows us to achieve tolerances of +/- 0.005" for the first inch and +/-0.003" thereafter (less than a hair's width per inch). With proper mold design, +/- 0.002" is often possible. This is as good or better than lost wax investment casting but is more cost effective, quicker, and much more environmentally friendly. With our help, you will be able to reduce the weight of your metal components, eliminate welding, and eliminate up to 100% of your machining.

Thanks for the shout out! As quoted in the article at Skuld, "Our attitude is if people say something can’t be done, then it’s ‘challenge accepted'." It's nice to see the progress of the other '21 MSPIRE winners CLEANR and Seraphina Safety Apparel.
Best of 2023: Building a transformative technology and forward-thinking are two key elements behind MAGNET: The Manufacturing Advocacy and Growth Network's Blueprint for Manufacturing in Northeast Ohio. We appreciate the write up!
??Startup Spotlight ?? Skuld LLC is changing how we manufacture metal parts through its additive manufacturing evaporative casting (AMEC). It's faster, less expensive, and capable of making large parts with precision tolerances. ?? The company is participating in Innovation Crossroads at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. CEO, Sarah Jordan, is no stranger to the startup sphere. As a serial entrepreneur, she is taking lessons from the past and applying them to the future. READ MORE ?? https://ow.ly/TU3H50Qbx3T

We are looking forward to giving pitches along with 12 other companies in the Cleantech space who have been going through the grueling DOE supported University of Tennessee Spark Cleantech Accelerator. It is part of the all day Tennessee Opportunities in Energy event being put on by the Tennessee Advanced Energy Business Council.

Sarah Jordan needs to start posting more frequently on the Skuld company page. 8 months is like 5 in entrepreneur-years. Here’s our first ad which was at the America Makes MMX. Props to Adam Fasnacht for the amazing design. Yes the Lightning ?? Metal is late and still being built. Like most new launches in the additive manufacturing industry, this brand new machine design is taking longer than expected. It’s about 90% done and we are working out the bugs internally first. Since the owners both were originally quality managers, we prefer to ship product that works out of the box rather than an MVP. #startup #additivemanufacturing
