Ski New Hampshire enjoyed interacting with the students who attended the North Country Outdoor Industry Career Expo, and sharing with them information about career tracks in the ski industry. Thanks to Ray Berthiaume of UNH Extension Community & Economic Development and Michelle Gross from White Mountain Regional High School for making this event possible! https://lnkd.in/ewbu3HHW

Though this season started off slowly, Mother Nature is not letting it end without a bang. With up to two feet falling at the end of March, and an estimated 12-18 inches more snow expected overnight and throughout the day tomorrow at many ski areas, spring skiing has turned out to be pretty awesome. Ski NH’s Jessyca Keeler joined a group of New Hampshire’s outdoor recreation leaders at Whaleback Mountain this week to meet with USDA’s Deputy Secretary, Xochitl Torres Small, as well as local representatives from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development for NH/VT, the Northern Border Regional Commission (NBRC), and the NH Congressional Delegation. We were happy to celebrate Whaleback’s award of a federal grant through the NBRC and the USDA to improve and increase their snowmaking capacity. The $100,000 grant requires Whaleback to raise matching funds, and they’ve already raised $80,000. With $20,000 left to reach their full match, they’re certainly happy to take donations from anyone who wants to support this community ski area in the Upper Valley. Ski NH kicked off the winter 603-style by co-hosting the party with Prinoth at their new facility in Concord this past Monday. It was great for industry folks to have an evening of networking before the season is in full swing! #skinewhampshire
