Updated guidelines from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) on the use of cannabis and cannabinoids in adults with cancer stress that it is important for oncologists to have a conversation about cannabis. However, studies suggest that cancer patients often use cannabis to manage symptoms without speaking to their oncologist first, and oncologists may be hesitant to broach the topic with their patients. Brooke Worster, MD, FACP, Enterprise Director of Supportive Oncology at the cancer center, spoke to Medscape about how oncologists can discuss the topic with their patients. https://lnkd.in/eqAb8iUs
