Skale origins began in 2009 when our own brand began to see massive growth on Amazon, making over $40 million a year using repeatable, time-tested strategies. After a decade of success, we’ve taken our ecommerce knowledge and shared the wealth with brands so they can grow too. We’re the people brands call to tailor-make digital marketplace strategies. We don’t force a one-size-fits-all playbook on our clients because no two brands are alike. We don’t exist to make a buck off our clients, but we sincerely care about their growth and value the relationships we build with them.

    Feeling incredibly grateful today as I reflect on the journey we’ve been on with this brand. Looking at this month's numbers – a 33% sales increase already! – I can't help but feel thankful for how far we've come.   • Important Amazon Alert: Deal Pricing Rules Have Changed We've discovered a significant change in how Amazon calculates deal pricing that could affect your promotional strategy immediately. Our team has identified that Amazon has quietly modified how they determine your Maximum Deal Price, which is based on your "WAS Price" (the 90-day median price paid by customers). Here's what's new: Amazon appears to have started including promotional discounts in their WAS Price calculations for some products. This means: > Your Lightning Deals and Best Deals might now require deeper discounts > Previous discount strategies could negatively impact your future deal eligibility > This change isn't universal across all categories or even all variants within a product line Roll-out seems to be inconsistent - we've observed parent ASINs where some child ASINs are affected while others remain under the old rules. Strategic Recommendations: > Check your deals dashboard immediately to see if your promotional offerings have been affected > Before implementing widespread discounts, test on lower-volume variants first > Allow 1-3 weeks of observation time to determine impact If your WAS Price has been affected, current data suggests a 30-45 day period without any discounts may be needed to reset it For sellers who rely heavily on deals as part of their Amazon strategy, this change requires immediate attention and potentially a revised promotional approach.
