As the largest system serving undocumented students, California community colleges play a crucial role to support their educational and career goals. During the 2024 Undocumented Student Action Week (USAW) Oct. 14-18, participants will learn about challenges to accessing employment, discuss policy solutions and learn about collaborative strategies to support undocumented student success The Community College League of California, along with the California Community Colleges and the Foundation for California Community Colleges and other partners, organized the eighth annual event. “It's all about supporting undocumented students, educating everyone in the undocumented student community about available resources, and providing guidance for the practitioners and DREAM resources liaisons who serve them,” said Kristal Padilla, Community College League of California legislative advocate. Evergreen Valley College Men's Soccer enters October ranked No. 1 nationally and No. 1 in California. The Hawks, currently at 8-0-1 on the season, have outscored opponents 26-to-3, posting six shutouts as they open up Coast Conference play this week. According to the United Soccer Coaches weekly rankings for Division-III, EVC is No. 1 followed by Mt. San Antonio College in Southern California, Dallas College (Richland, TX), Oxnard College (Oxnard, Calif.) and Herkimer College (Herkimer, NY). According to the 3C2A state power rankings, EVC is No. 1 followed by Hartnell, Long Beach, Cosumnes River and El Camino College.
