We're delighted to kick off a new chapter in SJC's history. On Tuesday, San José City Council approved the selection of two partners, Hudson and Paradies Lagardère, to manage a new retail concession program here at SJC. One of the program's priorities is a keen sense of place. There will be more representation for local businesses and products, including San José-based Nirvana Soul Coffee Purveyors and an experiential Google shop-in-shop with merchandise exclusive to SJC. This month marks 100 years since the inception of Delta Air Lines. We're proud to have partnered with them for decades now, and that they offer nonstop service from SJC to: -Atlanta -Los Angeles -Minneapolis/St. Paul -Salt Lake City -Seattle AND they kick off service to Las Vegas in May and Detroit in July! We believe travel should be accessible to every person. That’s why SJC co-hosted a Wings for All? event over the weekend, alongside our partners at Alaska Airlines and The Arc of the United States, and with the support of Pacific Autism Center for Education, SJC Happy Tails volunteers and local TSA Cares representatives. Wings for All? gives people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) a flying “rehearsal” and educates our employees on how to support them. The attendees participated in a practice run of a travel day. They checked in, boarded a plane and taxied around our airfield. For many of them, it was their first time at an airport and on a plane. Between the noise, crowds and unfamiliar surroundings, air travel can be overstimulating and overwhelming for individuals with IDD. The goal of this event was to alleviate that distress and open the doors of the world to these folks and their families. Travel -- and the happy experiences and memories that come with it -- should be accessible to all ??????

We're proud to share that ZIPAIR is adding more San José-Tokyo flights to their summer schedule. Starting March 30, flights will be available five days a week. Today we'd like to recognize Duoc Nguyen. He was recently SJC’s MVP of the month. Duoc works on our Airport Technology Services team, managing the technology and Content Management System for the Airport’s website and digital wayfinding screens. Over the past two years, he has demonstrated an exceptional ability to think outside the box and find creative solutions to complex problems.
