The UK government has just set a new benchmark for AI security with its AI Cyber Security Code of Practice—a world-leading standard designed to help organizations secure their AI systems. What does this mean for insurers and insurtechs? Alex Schmelkin, Sixfold CEO, shared his thoughts with Damisola Sulaiman from Insurance Post: "The framework will push insurers to take a closer look at how AI solutions are built and whether they introduce new risks. Insurtechs will need to prove their models are explainable and accurate, not just powerful, and that means stricter testing, better transparency, and more investment in security. This will at the end of the day favor insurtechs that build AI with security at the core rather than as an afterthought." https://lnkd.in/dAZVMeyQ

For Alex, we were curious to know what drew him to Sixfold: “I joined Sixfold to get back to early-stage startup energy, vision, and community. Generative AI is changing the world, and Sixfold combines the new GenAI capabilities with solid engineering and product design. ?I'm particularly impressed by my amazingly talented new coworkers, who are making products from the future today. They've quickly accomplished so much with a small team. I'm excited to jump in and get to work alongside them!” ?? Ryan has been part of the team for a while, and now that he’s officially full-time, we asked him what he’s learned so far and what he’s looking forward to next: "My favorite part of software development is that there’s always something new to learn. It can be exhausting at times, but I love learning new things. Sixfold has been a great mix of old and new. While I’ve worked with various cloud technologies, one of my first tasks here was navigating SOC2 compliance—a new experience! I also worked to standardize our infrastructure and deployment patterns for our single-tenant application to enable quick provisioning for new customers. Now, I’m excited to keep evolving the platform into an even more reliable, developer-friendly system. More learning ahead!" Excited to have them on board! ??
