Our team spent the morning at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia engaging in a transformative leadership conference hosted by the Satell Institute where over 300 nonprofit CEOs, corporate executives, civic leaders, and change agents gathered for a day of inspiration and strategic learning. The event focused on how understanding and sharing key metrics can drive trust, credibility, and alignment, fostering meaningful change in both the nonprofit and corporate sectors. We heard from Michael Thatcher, CEO of Charity Navigator, who shared his journey and challenged us to rethink how we measure success and tell our story. Through peer-to-peer sessions, we explored how to turn data into compelling narratives that connect emotionally and showcase impact. This was a great opportunity to collaborate and connect with nonprofit leaders helping to shape the future of the nonprofit world.

On February 27, the 76ers hosted their seventh annual Sixers Youth Foundation Gala, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Sixers Youth Foundation. Proceeds from this year's Sixers Youth Foundation Gala are approaching $2 million to benefit local youth. Coach Nurse, the 76ers team, and alumni, including Allen Iverson, were all at the event and rallied with 1,400 attendees to raise money for the youth of Philadelphia. Happy 10th Birthday, Sixers Youth Foundation ???? Last Thursday, Original Events Company celebrated a decade of impact with the Sixers Youth Foundation’s birthday bash at Cescaphe The Bellevue. Guests signed a giant 6-foot birthday card, donated gifts through the SYF Birthday Wishlist, and played in a custom-built arcade—featuring a Chick-fil-A Restaurants-fil-A claw machine, Libertee Grounds Mini Golf, Crypto.com Super Sprint, and a City Fitness-sponsored pop-a-shot! The 1,000+ attendees - from corporate sponsors to season ticket members, current players to Legends - enjoyed live music and old school line dancing! ?? Of course, no party is complete without amazing food and drinks! ???? Amoroso's sponsored the South Philly station, donating their iconic rolls for Philly cheesesteaks, served alongside Herr's chips. The Sixers Youth Foundation was recognized during the Philadelphia 76ers vs. Denver Nuggets game on Friday, January 31st. This year, we took our celebration to the next level by making it a full day of community engagement! Prior to the game, the SYF team and our Young Friends spent the afternoon volunteering with one of our amazing grantee partners, Leveling the Playing Field, Inc., and donating $1,500 worth of sports bras to support their efforts in expanding access and equity within youth sports. Later, our grantee partners enjoyed a suite with complimentary food and beverages, while youth participants had the chance to experience the high-five tunnel and watch VIP pre-game warmups, where 76ers players sported SYF-branded gear in honor of our 10th anniversary. ??? Following the game, youth from our grantee partners’ organizations had the opportunity to stay after the game and meet with 76ers player, Jared McCain!
