Key Trends and Interventions from our 2024 National Guard ACFT Analysis: 1. 2-Mile Run as a Success Predictor ?? Trend: Soldiers who passed the 2-mile run were significantly more likely to pass other events like the SDC (80%), plank (87.5%), and power throw (50%), with no failures in the deadlift or pushups. ?? Intervention: Customized running programs, on-demand SWS app-based running programs with training logs, and seasonal Run Club led by SiteWell Solutions' exceptional Strength & Conditioning (S&C) Coaches. 2. Permanent Profile and Modified 2-Mile Run Failures ?? Trend: 50% of soldiers with permanent profiles failed their modified 2-mile event. ?? Intervention: Personalized training and nutrition support from SiteWell's Performance Dietitian and S&C Coaches to improve performance on modified events. A coordinated hand-off from medical to the #HumanPerformance team to ensure continuity in support. 3. Standing Power Throw Technique Deficits ?? Trend: 50% of soldiers who failed the power throw didn’t fail any other events, pointing to technique issues. ?? Intervention: SPT Technique Workshops provided by SWIFT S&C Coaches for individuals and units. Drastic improvements can be experienced unit-wide with brief ACFT biomechanics demos. 4. Weight Management Challenges ? Trend: Soldiers failing the height, weight, and tape standards were, on average, 46 pounds over the limit. ? Intervention: The app-based, self-paced Healthy Weight Management program is a great way to experience week-by-week interventions.
