关于我们
SIT - Center for Counseling, Social Services, and Research is a non-governmental organization whose mission is to promote and create an equal society for all. Hence, we tackle some of the most challenging human rights issues in our society that prevent us from achieving equality, peace, and development, including Domestic Violence and Gender-Based Violence. We aim to achieve this by involving people of all backgrounds, regardless of their gender, sexual orientation and any other categories of identity. We envision an inclusive society where everyone feels safe, equal, and can achieve their potential regardless of their social identities. Equal Society for All At SIT, promoting and creating an equal society for all is a cause we truly believe in. Hence, we work toward promoting and creating a society equal for everyone regardless of their gender, sexual orientation and any other categories of identity. In order to do so, we tackle some of the most challenging human rights issues in our society that prevent us from achieving equality, peace, and development. SIT has been an ally of the community for more than 10 years, since 2008. Its headquarters is in Prishtina and is active in all regions of Kosovo. The organization is established with the purpose of serving in three (3) departments: as a center for counseling which provides identifying and counseling services to individuals or groups in need of preventing gender-based violence and domestic violence, rehabilitation and reintegration of perpetrators; a center which promotes human rights, gender equality, prevent violence, gender-based violence and domestic violence, promote healthy lifestyle among young people, promote sexual and reproductive health. We work to promote healthy behaviors, prevention of young people from radicalizing and violent extremism; and SIT conducts research in socio-economic fields. We provide relevant research and information for different actors in Kosovo.

Our dedicated students from "Ahmet Gashi" high school in Prishtina have already identified their hero! During our second meeting, they came prepared with concrete ideas for mapping exercises, focusing on unknown local heroines and heroes whose contributions remain unrecognized by society. In the coming months, they will take on the role of independent researchers, diving deep into history to uncover hidden stories. Together, we will: Invite youth groups to submit creative designs for memorials honoring these hidden figures. Select the most inspiring designs and bring them to life virtually through digital technology. Stay tuned as these young changemakers reshape history and give long-overdue recognition to the unsung heroes of our community! The European Union finances this project, which is implemented by partners Anthropolis, ATA Romania, Jugendagentur Stuttgart, Interfaith Encounter Association, Center ACT for SOCIETY, and SIT.

International Education Day ?? For years, we’ve worked hand-in-hand with schools, teachers, and young people to build a future where education is accessible and transformative for all. Through our programs, we have: - Partnered with schools across Kosovo to strengthen educational systems, - Supported teachers in fostering safer, more inclusive learning environments, - Empowered young people with the tools to create meaningful change and build brighter futures. None of this would have been possible without the dedication of our collaborators, the enthusiasm of our teachers, and the determination of our youth. Together, we’ve proven that education is the most powerful weapon for transformation. As we look to the future, we remain committed to breaking barriers, dismantling inequalities, and ensuring education becomes a catalyst for lasting change.
