关于我们
Sisters Taking On the Prevention of Suicide (STOPS) was founded in May 2015 by Andrea Mustin, a wife whose former husband, Eric D. Wright, lived with bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, and anxiety. The man who was her soul mate of 20 years died by suicide on December 2, 2013, and she didn’t see it coming. Who We Are For women who have friends and/or loved ones living with a mental illness, Sisters Taking On the Prevention of Suicide (STOPS) is a mental health awareness organization that inspires and gives hope through Education, Resources, Inspiration (Advocacy), and Community – through E.R.I.C. Our vision is to create a world that is knowledgeable, compassionate, and supportive of all persons living with mental illnesses and thus put a stop to suicide. Our mission is to reduce suicide rates by delivering mental health awareness training and support to women who have friends and/or loved ones living with a mental illness. By December 2, 2024, our goal is to build an empowered sisterhood of more than one million informed, engaged, and connected women who will act as Mental Health Champions and commit to fighting the battle against suicide.

Sisters Taking On the Prevention of Suicide(STOPS) provided funding for a dedicated group of five amazing women to attend Youth Mental Health First Aid Training in Spanish this month. So very proud of our sisters who are now certified in #ymhfa. We sincerely appreciate their dedication to #BeTheDifference in their community! Please know, that instructors are the backbone to the movement and are essential to everything that is done at Mental Health First Aid USA. We are so grateful for instructor Joseph Pena and we look forward to collaborating with him in the future to have more people benefit from this wonderful training opportunity. Praise God!??

When drug names are found in the Drug Abuse Warning Network (DAWN) emergency department data, they are checked against DAWN’s drug database and any new names are added. DAWN’s Network Watch released an update with the new street names added to the database from January 2023 to August 2024. Understanding drug slang improves communication and awareness, helps identify substance abuse, and can avoid misunderstandings of the substances involved in street drugs.
