Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards, such as IEC 61511, ANSI/ISA 84, and other applicable regulations. 5. Experience in hazard and risk analysis techniques (e.g., HAZOP, LOPA). 6. Proficiency in SIL verification methodologies and tools. 7. Working knowledge of PLCs, hardwired systems, and field instrumentation. 8. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 9. Professional certifications related to functional safety (e.g., TüV Functional Safety Engineer) are a plus. Attention all I&E Engineers and SIS Design Specialists. SIS-TECH's TüV Functional Safety class will be starting September 10-13, 2024. It will be held in-person at our Houston, Texas office. The class is intended to give students an understanding of the functional safety management system. You will learn how hazards and risk analysis methods are used to identify the need for risk reduction from administrative and engineered safeguards. Position Title: Senior SCAI Consultant Overview: We seek a highly skilled and experienced engineer to join our team as a Senior SCAI Consultant. What’s SCAI??It’s Safety Controls, Alarms, and Interlocks, which include Safety Instrumented Systems and other instrumented safeguards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing SCAI. The candidate should also possess a deep understanding of relevant industry standards since they will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our designs. Responsibilities: 1. Design and implement SCAI according to industry standards and best practices.? 2. Conduct hazard and risk assessments to identify safety requirements and define safety functions. 3.
