We have an amazing team—but we can't do this work alone. On #GivingTuesday, we appreciate all the ways our community gives back. Volunteering. Donating urgently needed supplies. Giving financially. Committing to relationships, to shared values, and to success in housing stability. We're truly grateful to partner with such dedicated, generous people.

关于我们
Our mission is to house, support, and empower people impacted by homelessness. Simpson Housing Services began as an emergency overnight shelter at Simpson United Methodist Church in 1982. For four decades, we have been a leading nonprofit helping people experiencing homelessness. In response to unmet community needs, our key programs have grown to include the following: an extended-stay shelter; supportive housing programs for youth, single adults, and families; and developmental and educational services for children. We annually support 2,000 people experiencing and transitioning out of homelessness, including 300 families with 650 children.

Simpson is building a modern shelter designed to meet the short-term housing needs of people impacted by homelessness. As a community, we can break chronic cycles of homelessness by providing the right tools for people as they work to achieve housing stability. All new or increased gifts made today at https://lnkd.in/gSj5Fr-s will be matched up to $100,000. We invite you to partner with Simpson as we work to house, support, and empower people impacted by homelessness. GiveMN #givetothemax

In a time of uncertainty, we invite you to build community at our Nov. 16th workshop, "Breaking the Cycle of Systemic Oppression: From Theory to Practice." Led by Dr. Joanne Reeck of United for Change LLC, this is the first workshop in our 2025 Anti-Racism Learning Series. Learn alongside Simpson staff, partners, and volunteers. Gain a deeper understanding of how systems of oppression are formed and layered in our society, as well as ideas for concrete action steps to dismantle these systems in our volunteer work and local communities. RSVP at https://lnkd.in/gTBgDAVC.

Hennepin County and our partners are housing and helping veterans overcome homelessness at a higher rate than veterans are coming into the homelessness system. Our systems ensure that veteran homelessness is rare, brief, and nonrecurring. While we know that much remains to be done, we are celebrating alongside Hennepin County employees, leaders, our partners, such as U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and elected officials at the local, state, and federal levels. We are incredibly proud of Neil Doyle, Director of our Veterans' Services department and our team of Veteran Services Representatives! Their dedication and hard work ensure that our veterans receive the support and recognition they deserve. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of those who have served. Effectively ending veteran homelessness does not mean veterans do not ever experience homelessness, but that when veterans do experience become homelessness, our system is prepared to quickly respond and move people them back into permanent housing. #VeteranSupport #CommunityHeroes #ProudToServe #HennepinCounty
