    There’s a huge win waiting for firms that prioritize simple fixes to acute, frequent attorney pain points. One problem worth solving: every time a deal closes, attorneys and legal staff are doing hours of PDF gymnastics just to send out signature packets. And while some firms chase solutions that promise to revolutionize the practice of law, solving this one problem can unlock countless hours for attorneys to focus on substantive legal work.     Two weeks ago, we shared a bit about what adoption looks like for AmLaw 1-50 firms. As opposed to their larger counterparts, AmLaw 100-200 firms tend to see sharper usage growth over their first year with SimplyAgree, while ultimately settling around 200 quarterly transactions in year two.?

    With over one hundred at bats, here’s what our team has learned about the firms that outpace their peers when it comes to closing tool adoption: 1. They help organize an initial, broad introduction of SimplyAgree to drive top-down adoption. Leading firms kick off with practice group demos that include partners. Early partner buy-in makes their teams more likely to try the new tool. 2. They help facilitate consistent communication with users. Rather than a one-time email blast, leading firms understand that repetition and multiple touch points are required to capture attorney attention. 3. They identify a handful of champions who will organically evangelize the tool internally. This doesn’t work when firms allow only those champions to use the tool; offering the tool firm-wide rather than only exposing a hand-selected group allows firms to benefit from word-of-mouth growth. 4. They choose tools that are easy to learn and provide immediate value to users. If a user struggles the first time they try a new tool, they’re unlikely to use it again.

    We’ve seen that helping our customers set realistic adoption expectations based on average results from their peer firms—not the top 1% of our customers—gives them the confidence to rally their teams around our solution. For example, over the course of their first two years using SimplyAgree, AmLaw 50 firms tend to 4x their quarterly transactions logged in the system. This quarterly usage growth is fairly consistent quarter over quarter, so firms in this segment can expect usage growth regardless of market conditions or seasonality. On average, these firms: - Do 50 transactions in SimplyAgree during their first quarter - Do 200 transactions quarterly by the end of year 2 - See the same slope of growth in years 3 and 4 Because of our pricing model, this means that SimplyAgree customers in this segment typically see their ROI double year over year.
