When I was first asked to be on the board for the Empty Stocking Gala this year, I remembered how much fun I had attending the event in years prior ??, and even more so, the cause is near dear to my heart, considering my childhood. In case you were not aware, the proceeds from this event provide Christmas gifts ?? for all children in Calhoun and Cleburne counties under DHR/foster care. Naturally, I enthusiastically agreed to join the board and was genuinely excited to give back to such a great cause. I really wanted to contribute to this event in a meaningful way. I never could’ve imagined how being the Advertising Chair could have blessed me in such a powerful way. Filming some production today for a video we are producing for the event, I was able to hear, first-hand, the testimony of a wonderful mother and family who benefited from the Gala last year while their, now adopted, son was currently under their foster care. I will never forget Courtney’s story, Benji’s story ????, and my passion for this cause as well as my faith in God Almighty, has definitely been deepened.
