When content is too dense and lacks a conversational tone, it’s hard to absorb. You can still impart wisdom without overwhelming your audience." 2???Balance emotion and intellect in every piece of content. "It's not about having 'heartwarming' content on social media and 'academic' content on your website. Every piece should weave both—engaging visuals, punchy messaging, and thought-provoking insights." 3???Measure content success by engagement, not just clicks. "My favorite metric for content marketing isn’t deal origination—it’s deal progression. Are we keeping prospects engaged throughout the sales cycle? Are multiple stakeholders consuming our content? That’s where real impact lies." 4???A strong brand voice starts with clear guidelines. "Everywhere I go, we create brand guides and writing standards. If you define your tone, personality, and storytelling approach upfront, your content naturally stays compelling and consistent." 5???Your customers tell your best stories. "Some of the most effective marketing happens when our company steps back and lets customers speak. When we developed this statement with the Simple Truth agency in Chicago, we wanted to capture something fundamental: Translation is not just words on a page. It’s about creating understanding. If that understanding is lost, the translation fails—no matter how it was created. This truth feels even more relevant today. With AI, machine translation, and various tools available, there are more ways than ever to produce translations. Efficiency is valuable—it helps us move faster, do more, and serve clients better. But efficiency alone isn’t the goal. Understanding must always come first, with efficiency as a supporting force, not the driving one. Why do we translate content? Not to check a box. Not to run it through a tool. But to ensure the message lands, resonates, and connects. Whether it’s a critical legal document, an educational resource, or customer-facing content, the impact of the translation matters more than the process behind it.
