Just wrapped up the best LSI yet! Nearly 1,700 attendees, over 400 startups, and a palpable energy from every corner & conversation! LSI has officially become the place for emerging #medtech. If you’re building in this space and haven’t been, put it on your calendar for next year—this one’s worth the investment. A few takeaways that stuck with me: ?? AI is everywhere. And no, not just the buzzy GenAI stuff. We’re talking deep integration across procedural guidance, imaging, and data platforms. The infrastructure is finally catching up to the vision. Think personalization & superior patient engagement. ?? Investors are showing up. Jan - Feb 2025 first financings are already exceeded all of Q3 and Q4 2024. Even with market uncertainty swirling, this week felt strong. Purpose-driven. Optimistic. ?? Despite recent FDA staffing events, there have been minimal signs of delay coming from the agency. That’s a big (and welcome) signal of stability as teams push through development and into the clinic. ?? The shift away from hospitals is real. Everyone’s talking user experience, patient data, and engagement—but with nuance. We’re finally starting to ask not just what patients want, but when and how they want to be engaged. ?? We are at a crossroads of monumental human potential. Exponential tech is rewriting the rules, innovation is shifting from incremental to transformational, and ethics and responsibility—on so many fronts—can no longer be back-burnered. ?? Imaging and disease detection are on fire. Startups are doubling down here, and the interest from strategics signals it’s not just noise—it’s impact.
