SilverSummit Healthplan is proud to announce the launch of our new community health-based transportation service for rural Nevadans! Lack of transportation is a common barrier to healthcare access, and in partnership with Access to Healthcare Network, we will strive to combat this with free door-to-door and door-through-door transportation services. The service will be available in Washoe, Churchill, Douglas and Storey counties as well as Carson City. Thank you so much to everyone that attended our ribbon cutting ceremony in celebration! We look forward to serving the rural Nevada community!

At SilverSummit Healthplan, we are dedicated to equipping our members with the essential resources necessary for stability and long-term health. Kevin Murray, Manager of Housing Programs, is excited to announce our recent contribution of $575,000 in supportive funding to local partners. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to providing housing and supportive services for members in Clark and Washoe counties. This funding is vital for helping our members secure permanent housing and access essential community programs. Our first funding recipient, The Just One Project, is particularly focused on assisting members with stable income as they transition from homelessness, emergency shelters, or temporary housing into permanent homes. This initiative is part of our broader goal to connect Nevadans with a strong network of resources, ultimately fostering healthier and more resilient communities. Nicole King's vision for the SilverSummit Community Investment Program has earned us the prestigious 2024 Trailblazing Philanthropy Award from the Moonridge Foundation! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Moonridge Foundation for this honor.
