We are thrilled and proud to announce that David J. Silverman, FAIA, a distinguished alumnus of the Boston Architectural College (BAC), has been elevated to the AIA College of Fellows—one of the highest honors in the architecture profession. ?? David earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the BAC in 1994, an institution he credits for turning his passion into a profession. He has remained actively involved with the College, serving in various leadership roles, including positions on the alumni association and as an educator chairing the thesis committee. As a founding principal of STA Design, Inc., David has significantly influenced the architectural landscape of Greater Boston. His work spans diverse sectors, including non-profits, educational facilities, and innovation hubs like MassRobotics and Greentown Labs. His designs not only enhance functionality but also foster community and innovation. Beyond his professional achievements, David is deeply committed to education and mentorship. He serves as Vice Chair of the BSA Foundation Board and is involved with the AIA National K-12 Integrating Design Education through Architecture (IDEA) Advisory Group, aiming to inspire the next generation of architects. David is one of only two architects from Massachusetts to receive this prestigious honor in 2025, underscoring his exceptional contributions to the field.
