She is passionate about her community, the Topeka Zoo, Veterans, First Responders, her family and more. Learn more about Kay in her own words: What positions have you held since you started at SLB? I started as a teller supervisor in 2014 and went to Customer Service Teller in 2020. What do you enjoy most about working at SLB? I love the customers and how our bank feels like family. It also makes me proud to work for a bank that gives back to our schools, the Topeka Zoo and starting this year Folds of Honor. Why would you recommend working/banking at Silver Lake Bank. Working for Silver Lake Bank, you’re with a bank that is family owned for more than 55 years and you get the chance to build personal relationships with customers. Hablo espa?ol We're celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and want you to meet some of our bilingual staff members who provide excellent customer service! Meet Marlene. She is the friendly teller at our main "Jayhawk" branch in north Topeka and said that though she focuses on the retail side of banking that she understands the struggle to get a loan at other financial institutions because they don't have minorities on staff there. Lisa is a new customer, who came to appreciate our Gage Branch staff's excellent customer service while working as office manager for one of our customers! Started off as receptionist and now work in the loan department as Pat Gideon’s loan processing manager. What do you enjoy most about working at SLB? I enjoy working with my coworkers. I like working at Silver Lake Bank because the employers work with your schedule and let you attend most if not all of your children/family events.
