Happy Highlights, Interesting Insights & Future Forecasts
From happy highlights -like farmers seeing fairer prices, to interesting insights on evolving business models and future forecasts shaping the industry’s future, this 2025 Chocoa edition had it all. Silva Cacao was at the heart of it, connecting amazing farmer partners with artisan chocolate makers, exploring bold flavours, and exchanging knowledge that drives change.
A happy highlight for us was witnessing how cacao producers -often unheard at many chocolate events, were not only present at Chocoa but also actively participated -joining panels, speaking at side events, and sharing their insights. They were heard, met with genuine interest, and respected for the work they do. And of course, that made us happy -Silva Cacao couldn’t be prouder! A massive shout-out to all our local heroes, with a special thanks to those who joined us at Chocoa: Rodrigo & Brian from Venezuela, Gerald, Edrisa, and the Trias East Africa team from Uganda, Kelly, Arcell, & Chef Laethi from the Philippines, Simran from Tanzania, Ryan from Thailand, and Ellen & Luca from GoGround India! It was an absolute pleasure having you all there -so many great conversations, great energy, and big smiles all around!
Second happy highlight, and maybe our personal favourite? Our Flavour Flights! These tastings took attendees on a sky-high ride through cacao’s complexities, with vertical and horizontal comparisons of flavour, texture, and harvest years. From the Philippine crew to the Uganda crew, our origin cacao partners were the perfect stewards -sharing their incredible stories and bringing their work to life. Meanwhile, our trusted partners and sweet friends at ZOTO and Chocolatoa kept the atmosphere buzzing as in-flight infotainers, always ready to explain and engage -from post-harvest techniques to the skilled craft of chocolate making.
From takeoff to landing, it was a sweet, unforgettable journey, with plenty of interactive infotainment that left everyone eager for the next flavour-packed adventure! A huge shout-out to the passengers and crew of Flight AURO063, heading to the Philippines, and Flight UG256 heading to East Africa. These Cacao Flavour Flights will stay with us forever! We appreciate your cooperation and smooth flying at cruising altitude. Until next time, keep your seatbelts fastened for the next Cacao Flavour Adventures!
