We see a future where widefield retinal imaging can be done wherever the patient is... improving access and opening up the door to universal screening for eye disease and systemic health conditions that show up in the eye. The non-contact version of the iCam-OCT can acquire a 140 degree image in < 1 second without dilation. Pediatric Moonshot #visionscreening #oculomics Credit to Yifan Jian, J. OCT has largely replaced the ophthalmoscopic examination of the macula (for adults) over the last 2 decades. We believe that handheld UWF-OCT will soon do the same for most babies at risk for ROP. This is a 3D reconstruction of an UWF-OCT scan which was obtained in less than 1 second, with a 200 degree FOV, without requiring dilation, and with infrared light. See more information at www.siloamvision.com Permission was obtained from the parent of this infant to share this image. The team at #OHSU has performed more than 3000 ROP eye examinations using OCT, with the full support of NICU parents and nurses. Credit to Yifan Jian J.
