Our Toronto Summit kicks off tomorrow, with a visit to the CIBC SQUARE - Toronto (Phase II) jobsite and a reception following at EllisDon, and we couldn't be more excited for the week ahead. Here's a quick reminder of what else we have going on. Day 2 Our Construction Tech & Building Research Tech Tracks meet for a joint Forum to be led by Jody Becker and Hammad Chaudhry from EllisDon and Tom Aicklen from Infrastructure Ontario, and our Venture & Investments Research Track also meets for an open discussion on the opportunities innovative AEC technologies present. Later that day, nine leading-edge startups—Veristart Technologies Inc., Mechasys, CarbiCrete, Silo-In, homerenu, GeoXtra Solutions, ZS2 Technologies, NxLite (Formerly 3E Nano Inc), and UBILD—take center stage for a Demo Day competition. Day 3 Bluebeam CEO Usman Shuja and BuiltWorlds Executive Chairman Mathew Gray kicks us with a fireside chat-style conversation, where they'll discuss various aspects of innovation and advancement in the AEC industry, covering topics like adoption hurdles, productivity, AI, and more. Our 'Future of Preconstruction' panel comes next, featuring innovators from Bespoke Metrics Inc., Matterport, Tucker Technology Consulting, and STACK Construction Technologies, followed by a deep dive discussion, with experts from Pomerleau and Kubota Canada Ltd., into how equipment and robotics breakthroughs may finally improve productivity in the field. Following that, representatives from EllisDon, Canam, and DivcoWest take the stage to provide meaningful, actionable context to the increasingly cluttered AI landscape in our 'Applications for AI in AEC' panel. And just before lunch, our 'Hard-Tech: Offsite Fabrication Techniques' panel, featuring experts from Bird Construction, Promise Robotics, and UNB Off-site Construction Research Centre, offers a wide range of perspectives on the ins and outs of offsite construction. The afternoon kicks off with a research presentation from our BuiltWorlds analyst team, followed by a conversation, with special guests from Wesgroup Properties, Aecon Group Inc., Brickeye, Adaptis, about the transformative interplay of building tech and sustainability, and what it means for the future of our industry. Two panels close out the Summit. The first features experts from Zacua VenturesBuilding Ventures, GroundBreak Ventures, and FutureSight, breaking down the state of Canada's capital markets and built world tech. The second and final features industry leaders from Canam, IMEG, Canam Steel Corporation, and Shellex Consulting Group Inc., discussing the wider effort to identify and develop the industry's future leaders and workforce.
