After serving in the Army for eight years and working as a chemist for six, Edward Wheat recognized the need for a barbershop at his local military base to serve active personnel, veterans and their families. He expanded his services to supply barber supplies to other regional shops. Edward sought assistance from SCORE mentors while creating his business plan and writing a proposal for the military base.
