Pursuing creative and high-quality solutions to support learning and make the world of education more equitable is hard and important work. A belated welcome to Elena Sanina, the leader of our Innovation strategy and grantmaking making.
After 7 incredible years at Charter School Growth Fund, I’m excited to share that I’m starting a new role as Vice President at the Silicon Schools Fund. I joined CSGF in the early days of the Impact team, not really knowing what it meant to work in philanthropy. I quickly found a home at CSGF, surrounded by a portfolio of leaders with a contagious passion for ensuring that every child has access to a high-quality education. Playing a small part in supporting those leaders has been a privilege and shaped my own conviction about deepening connections between K-12 experiences, postsecondary education, and economic opportunity. While it's bittersweet to leave CSGF, I am not going far. I am thrilled to join Silicon Schools?where I’ll lead the innovation in education strategy. Silicon Schools was a catalytic partner when I worked at Aspire Public Schools and their support created transformational opportunities for hundreds of students. I am excited to bring my experience as an investor and community builder to the already incredible SSF team and portfolio. Thanks to everyone that has been part of my journey thus far. I’m grateful for your collaboration and hope to continue to learn from you as we stay connected.
