Silicon Power Technology, our Chengdu Joint Venture, has admitted 35 additional startups in China. Our companies participate in a 24-month customized incubation program. Each is guided closely by a Silicon Catalyst partner. Silicon Catalyst’s ecosystem provides everything our startups need to design, fabricate, and market semiconductor solutions: ? In-Kind Partners (TSMC, Synopsys, Arm, ST Micro and over 40 more) – provide each startup several millions of dollars’ worth of goods and services including EDA tools, IP, PDKs, prototypes, design and test services, packaging and business solutions. ? Strategic Partners (TI, ON Semi, Soitec, Bosch, Cirrus Logic, Arm, ST Micro and Matrix Capital) – participate in the selection process and actively look for opportunities to partner with our startups. ? Investors – A large group of over 300 VCs, Angels, Angel groups, Corporate VCs, and Family Offices fund each journey. Silicon Catalyst Angels, created from our ecosystem also funds our companies. More than $90M has been invested in our startups in the past six months. ? Advisors – A valuable network of over 190 industry experts that we match to the specific needs of each startup. ? Universities, Industry Organizations, Incubators, and Government Agencies – We nurture dozens of key relationships for the benefit of our portfolio companies. Our companies have received over $80M in grants. Silicon Catalyst’s mission is to help semiconductor startups succeed. Join us in driving innovation!

As a Strategic Partner of Silicon Catalyst, DuPont had the privilege of hosting the distinguished Silicon Catalyst’s Day 1 CEO Colloquium at DuPont Silicon Valley Technology Center. The event attracted over 70 participants, including accomplished entrepreneurs, influential industry executives, and prominent venture capitalists, all engaging in meaningful discussions. The primary focus of the day was to explore effective strategies for maximizing valuations, a critical factor for achieving successful exits in the competitive startup landscape. Silicon Catalyst serves as a vital incubator for pioneering companies that are pushing the boundaries of innovation in semiconductor design and intellectual property. Through this colloquium, we aimed to highlight the essential components contributing to business growth and investment appeal in an ever-evolving technological field. A special thank you to Tarun Verma and Jessica Binzoni for partnering with DuPont Silicon Valley Technology Center.

Hello Malta! At the Global Semiconductor Conference Malta today, Sean Redmond launched Silicon Catalyst’s ChipStart EU. Look out for my video interview in EE Times | Electronic Engineering Times in which he talks about the program, why he’s launching it in Malta, and about the key highlights of the conference. There were plenty of discussions and debates on everything ranging from what we can do to address the skills gap in semiconductors, why Europe is ‘insanely’ underperforming in creating value from semiconductor startups compared to the US, why adding more bleeding edge fab capacity around the world is pointless, why national chip strategies in the EU and Uk could focus more on design and fabless companies, and much more. Watch out for my interviews in EE Times this week. #chips #semiconductors #startups #chipsact #malta Malta Enterprise

Yesterday I represented both Silicon Catalyst and RISE Israel (formerly SNPI), chairing a panel titled “How to foster local semiconductor entrepreneurship à la Silicon Valley?” in the Global Semiconductor Conference Malta. I presented an innovation ecosystem framework that RISE developed, and then we had a great panel discussion with Alissa M. Fitzgerald, Ph.D., CEO of AMFitzgerald, Frédérique LE GREVES, EVP at ST, Christophe Frey, VP EU Engagements at Arm, and Carla Ghidini, Innovation Director at NXP Semiconductors, who shared their insights and perspectives on the topic. The event was also a wonderful opportunity to spend time with my dear friends Moshe Gavrielov, Pete Rodriguez, and Moshe Zalcberg. Thank you Malta Enterprise and Sean Redmond for the opportunity!

Exokeryx has made tremendous progress. Silicon Catalyst is thrilled to see the announcement of Demeter. Great job by the Exokeryx team.
Exokeryx is at #ISEVxTech2024 this week and thrilled to introduce #DemeterEVPrep, our novel, chip-based #EV isolation platform. Standard EV isolation methods use a single physical property to isolate #EVs, forcing researchers to choose between recovery and purity. Demeter EVPrep is different. Demeter EVPrep is reproducible by design with a fully-automated, hands-off workflow that can isolate up to 8 samples at a time. Leveraging #dielectrophoresis, ingenuity we’ve adapted from the semiconductor industry, Demeter EVPrep isolates EVs by exploiting their unique dipole moment, a measurement defined by two physical properties at once– size and composition. Because Demeter EVPrep leverages these two physical properties simultaneously, it specifically isolates EVs to deliver greater recovery and purity than other techniques. Check out our video below and, if you're at ISEVxTech this week, stop by our booth to see Demeter EVPrep in action! #extracellularvesicles?

I had a blast at the #AI + #Semiconductor + #Humanity panel held in the iconic Computer History Museum along with esteemed fellow panelists Navin Chaddha from Mayfield Fund, Jay Dawani, Founder of Lemurian Labs, moderated by semiconductor veteran Dave French! I loved the energy and eagerness in the 300+ audience of entrepreneurs, technologists and investors, this is really what made Silicon Valley Silicon Valley! Key takeaways: - Richard Curtin opened the evening with the 67 years of semiconductor industry history started by the Traitorous 8, who shifted the tech culture in Silicon Valley to one that centers around collaboration, meritocracy, and entrepreneurial freedom. - Pete Rodriguez introduced Silicon Catalyst and its partnership with Arm, TSMC, Synopsys Inc, etc to incubate innovation in semiconductor industry - I loved Navin's comment on Silicon is back to Silicon Valley, and it is the golden era to invest in semiconductor again. He indicated the stronghold that big tech has in AI compute in data centers, but there are still plenty of opportunities for startups around optics and photonics, power and cooling, edge, networking, and many others, almost endless, and semi startup founders need to have peripheral vision. - I shared some of the exciting new developments driven by the rise of LLM and GenAI, multimodality and physical intelligence down the road: Arm CPU in the cloud that can break through the memory wall, AI+ glasses and AI robotics. Arm is also working closely with Silicon Catalyst to offer Arm Flexible Access to qualified semi startups to lower the barrier to semiconductor innovation #onArm - Jay shared his passion to leverage AI to advance science, which is so essential for healthcare, medicine, physics, space exploration and more. Thanks Richard Curtin for putting the panel together and Paul Williamson and Neil Parris for offering me the opportunity to be on this exciting and fun panel!
