SiLi-ion Update December 2023 - Closing the Year on a High Note Third-party validation confirms we achieved 250 to 300 cycles with 80% capacity retention, 4X energy density, and graphite-like manufacturability – drop-in ready - 100% graphite replacement. And has much room for further advancements to our Minimum Viable Product (MVP). 2023 has been an exciting year for SiLi-ion. Thanks to the continued support from the California Energy Commission and the US Department of Energy, we now have broken through the TRL 6+ level and validated our core technology. We have an MVP with excellent cycle life and 4X improvement in energy density over graphite, already exceeding the demands of the drone market. We are consistently unlocking advancements in energy density and cycle life, and we have a development plan for drone and EV-ready material. We are securing new IP to protect our approach further. We are continuously testing and validating our materials with independent testing facilities. Our product looks just like graphite, and it can be formulated and applied onto the current collector using roll-to-roll coating, just like graphite. It integrates seamlessly into the same manufacturing tech used in the giga-factories. Our core plasma process creates ultra-nano silicon in milliseconds, orders of magnitude faster than our competitors. Our analysis demonstrates that our material compares favorably to other graphite replacements in terms of production cost. The manufacturing process is simple and will scale up fast. Finally, we are making great strides toward finalizing our $1.5M seed round. These funds will allow us to scale up production to kilograms per week, send samples to the OEMs who have already expressed interest in our product, obtain further validation in real-life applications, and prove the scalability of our manufacturing approach. It has been an amazing couple of months. Most importantly, we are now showing well over 400 cycles and 1,000 mAh/g with our 100% replacement of graphite. Yes, third-party validated and more than than enough energy for the drone market. We've attended three invitation-only events: the NREL Industry Forum, a University of California Spin-Out event in Sacramento, and the CleanTech Open. Further participation in early-stage startup meetups included SVRN, Carbonauts, the big Plug and Play Sumit last week, and a couple of Early Stage LA events, including the Rivin Experience yesterday.
