Below are the latest #Regulatory updates affecting insurance licensing and securities registration: - The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs adopted a new rule implementing the Examination Validity Extension Programs (EVEP) and the Maintaining Qualifications Program (MQP) for agents and investment adviser representatives - The Pennsylvania Surplus Lines Associations issued a bulletin regarding revised Producer Affidavit 1609-PR.  - The Texas State Securities Board adopted rules to recognize the Examination Validity Extension Programs (EVEP) and the Maintaining Qualifications Program (MQP), the SEC Regulation Best Interest, Residential Supervisory Locations (RSLs), and the Remote Inspections Pilot Program (RIPP).  - The West Virginia Offices of the Insurance Commissioner, Licensing and Education Division, will begin appointment renewal processing through NIPR on June 6, 2025. Class completion is based upon attendance, no final exam required.
