Signature Science’s Advanced Genomics Laboratory has been issued accreditation by ANAB, the ANSI National Accreditation Board, to the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 quality standard as a testing laboratory for Single-Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs) using Massively Parallel Sequencing (MPS). “It is essential that our validated laboratory methods are accredited to the highest quality standards,” said Signature Science’s Advanced Genomics Laboratory Technical Leader, Christina Neal. “We’re thrilled to announce this major milestone!" ?? What does forensic DNA analysis have to do with the art authentication process? ?? When a hair was found embedded in the canvas surface of "Elimar," LMI Group saw it as another piece of the puzzle they were working to solve - could this painting discovered at a garage sale in the states be attributed to famed 19th century painter Vincent van Gogh? ??As part of its interdisciplinary authentication efforts, LMI submitted the hair to Signature Science's Advanced Genomics Laboratory for DNA testing. We were honored to take part in this process alongside other experts in their respective fields. Our staff relished the opportunity to apply the laboratory work they take pride in performing for the criminal justice system in such an unexpected way!
