Did you guess which AAOS booth I went to first, the one that I felt had such GREAT significance involving a product that would never be sold in the US? Drumroll please....... SIGN Fracture Care!! Long bone fractures are devastating to patients in areas of the world with no access to fx hardware. I've heard about this nail that's been transforming lives globally for years now, so excited to finally see it in person! SIGN is a humanitarian organization founded by Dr. Lewis Zirkle in 1999 that gives the injured poor access to fracture surgery by donating orthopaedic education and implant systems to surgeons in developing countries. PLEASE consider supporting this organization either personally or corporately, economic conditions in most of the countries they work in require the donation of these implants to the hospitals! How to give: https://lnkd.in/eYVXG7dK Great organization, let's give them a hand up!! * In case you're wondering, it will never never be sold in the US due to the prohibitive cost of lot number tracing mandated by the FDA. #devicenation #aaoscybertrip American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) SHEARER DAVID MD Jeanne Dillner Richard Gellman Ben Rivera Steve Schwartz Patrick Yoon Billy Haonga Jun Valera Emeka Izuagba Terry Smith Kyle Westcott Brian Barnes Angela Hoyer Lori Maier
