Hello from sunny, snowy Sundsvall! Last week we held an inspirational workshop at?Permobil. The workshop is part of an ongoing assignment to not only help improve the (already-high) quality of Permobil's product information, but to support them on their journey to creating new forms of deliverables for their end users. Our company philosophy is "Local Drive - Global Strength". This is certainly true here, as our local manager in Sundsvall,?Sofie Skarpsv?rd, had support from?Jason Brim?from our Gothenburg office. Jason is one of our senior information experts, and has deep knowledge and experience of everything from terminology and information architecture to implementing new systems and ways of working. Jason otherwise works remotely from our Gothenburg office, so Sofie's presence ensures that we can adapt to any changing requirements and that Permobil has a local contact. According to a judgement by Malm? District Court, Friday 14 February, the Agency Work Act (Uthyrningslagen) does not apply to Sigma Technology Information or to any other companies in the consultancy business. The decision states that our sister company, Sigma Industry Solutions AB, is per definition not a staffing company and therefore the law is not applicable. The decisive argument for the judgement is that Sigma's employees are not recruited and employed with the aim of being rented out to customer companies, rather they are employed to perform a wide range of different tasks, including work in Sigma’s own offices under Sigma's supervision. “This is an important judgement for our company. It removes a lot of uncertainty and it gives us stability to grow our business even further” says Johan Thornadtsson, CEO for Sigma Technology Information. https://lnkd.in/dBCzC3bF
