关于我们

At the Sierra Club, we believe in the power of togetherness. Together, we remain committed to the fight for a healthy climate built on a foundation of environmental, racial, economic, and gender justice – a future where all people benefit from a healthy, thriving planet and a direct connection to nature. As the climate crisis and deeply entrenched systemic racism all fuel inequity, we will continue to fight for a bold, transformational agenda that recognizes the interconnectedness between our planet, our humanity, and our democracy. By recognizing that our destinies are tied, we continue to name that all things are fundamentally connected, and the overlap between ecology, race, gender, and representative government will move to either advance our collective humanity or to oppress it. Sierra Club is comprised of staff across the country and a network of local chapters that support our grassroots engagement. We are also proud to be a unionized employer, with two labor unions representing more than half of our employees. Please view www.sierraclub.org/careers/ for more information.

Our nation's veterans and service members reflect every aspect of what makes America one of the world's most diverse and multicultural societies. They also have a legacy directly tied to our public lands. Today, about a quarter of the National Park Service workforce are military veterans. Read more about how the Sierra Club Military Outdoors campaign has striven to continue that legacy for all service members, veterans, and military families ?? https://bit.ly/4h7IIvz ?? While Trump and Musk are destroying the government programs American families rely on,?Republicans in Congress are cheering them on while many Democrats are failing to put up a real fight. They work for us, the American people, and it’s time for some answers. This week, our Senators and Representatives are back home in their states and districts for a recess. This gives us a great opportunity to hold their feet to the fire! Go to?sc.org/MarchActions to find out how you can fight back.

??? We need to do something about concrete's carbon footprint! ??? Did you know that concrete production and use contributes to an estimated 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions? That's why the Sierra Club is proud to endorse the bipartisan? hashtag #IMPACTAct 2.0, which aims to revolutionize & decarbonize cement, concrete & asphalt production in the US. Thank you to Reps. Valerie Foushee (D-NC) and Max Miller (R-OH) for bolstering the competitiveness of clean American manufacturing!

This afternoon, the sad news broke that Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-AZ) passed away after a months-long battle with cancer. He was 77. During his two decades in Congress, Griijalva was a champion for our environment and public lands, helping achieve numerous victories for Sierra Club issues. In particular, he worked to permanently fund the Land and Water Conservation Fund, passed the Environmental Justice for All Act, defended the Grand Canyon, and stood up for Tribal rights. https://bit.ly/3DJmfar
