Our pipeline jumped 52% in 6 months—thanks to one simple tool: The SCORECARD We learned about the SCORECARD from the amazing Ed Escobar at Sidetool. The SCORECARD is a simple Google Sheet with 5–15 key metrics that show whether we’re on or off track toward our goals. How you make it: 1. As yourself “If I was stuck on an island, what are the 5-15 weekly KEY NUMBERS I’d need to know to get a pulse on the business”. For Adhesive Media, some of our key numbers include: - New YouTubers Onboarded - New Brands with First Deal - Number of Deals Pitched - Number of Deals Closed - $ of Deals Closed - % of Ads on Track to Go Live Properly - Number of Ads Live 2. Create a spreadsheet covering 12 weeks (one quarter). Include a column for your target numbers, and use rows to list the dates for each Friday, where you'll report on the actual numbers. 3. Assign each metric to a SINGLE PERSON. Even if others contribute, that person is ultimately accountable. *This part took us a while to learn. Originally, we had multiple people responsible for certain metrics. Once we transitioned to one person, it increased accountability as an org. 4. Every Friday, each assigned person inputs their metrics before the team meeting. If it’s below the goal, mark it RED; if it’s above, mark it GREEN. 5. On the team meeting, each person shares (A) how they hit the goal or (B) why the goal wasn’t hit & what needs to change next week. This process keeps your whole team accountable and moving towards your quarterly & annual goals. By tracking our # of Deals Pitched weekly, we continuously set higher targets, and have increase our average monthly deal pipeline by 52%.
