I’m beyond excited to officially launch Arterra's website, and be shipping Arterra's first manufactured product – The Falcon2L, A 2L hip sling bag that stands out with its beaver tail (Falcon Wing)—allowing for extra carrying capacity while maintaining a sleek profile. It’s been my personal go-to for dog walks and outdoor adventures for the past 12 months, with space for leashes, rain shells, gloves, water bottles, and more. This journey has been a labor of love, from designing and refining the product to finally having inventory ready for purchase. It’s been 5 weeks since I’ve been in the Shyft HQ here in Utah ?? During this time I’ve: - Traveled to Vietnam ???? to be with our incredible team in Ho Chi Minh City. - Said farewell to 2 team members - so much gratitude for their part in our journey and I consider them lifelong friends. - Welcomed new team members - Stephan MEINHARDT & Scarlett - I’m very excited to work alongside you both. - Had some enlightening working and training sessions with our talented team members in China and Vietnam. - Deepend friendships. - Ate some incredible food. And saw some beautiful sights. - Missed my dear wife Alynne Scirkovich. Who without hesitation supported my decision to go. While raising our boys, while starting her business Dat Sour Dough. So much admiration, love, and respect for my partner in crime. - Visited some fantastic manufacturing partners, learned about them, their team members, and worked to understand how we can best support each other. A mix of emotion coming home, but one feeling overrides the rest, gratitude. As consumers we tend to focus on the design, or the brand, or the unboxing experience. We often pay little attention to the development of that product, the manufacturing, the coordination of logistics… the supply chain. We in the supply chain industry are the team behind the curtain. The factory workers that travel from afar to educate themselves and earn a living to support their families. They’re the product people that spend weeks and months developing from prototypes to production ready product. Training workers to manufacture product to a high standard. So here’s one for the unsung heroes ?? I love doing what I do because I get to see the hard work, the sacrifice, and the commitment each supply chain member has in giving us the products we can’t live without. Shyft.
