I have been working in the missing person field since May 19, 2012, after the disappearance and murder of my sister, Mickey Shunick. I founded the nonprofit organization Resource Association for Missing People in September 2013. With over a decade of experience, I am now consulting law enforcement agencies on missing person policies, as well as training on working with family members. I am also creating free online educational tools online- check me out on YouTube!

Most juveniles are classified at “runaways” unless evidence shows otherwise. People are significantly less likely to interact with runaway posts and juveniles are a vulnerable population, especially when they are alone.
