Hasn't that come around fast? It's time for our Friday roundup! ?? The week kicked off with Rachel Owen attending our Patron event, delivered by Mark Robinson and Andrew Goff from Coforge. Valuable insights on the Procurement Act and Social Value were shared, collaborations were explored, and new opportunities surfaced. Carl Jones led our Business Awards Writing Workshop, equipping delegates with the confidence to craft an application that truly represents their business. Delegates exchanged people-related insights and best practices with fellow HR professionals, deepening their understanding and keeping up to date with the latest trends and changes. ???? Kelly Riedel and Rachel Owen visited Shrewsbury Colleges Group for their 'Succeeding with Succession' event, gathering feedback on attendees needs and expectations for future manufacturing events. She met with Erica Sherry and Dan Turner, caught up with Liam Scott from Scott Risk Management Ltd, facilitated the Telford Roundtable discussion with Shaun Davies, hosted by McPhillips (Wellington) Limited, and began the Chamber's exciting journey with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System), thanks to Simon Adcock - https://lnkd.in/g7Tc8w8. She was also kindly invited to Dyke Yaxley Chartered Accountants's event, where she enjoyed an evening with Gareth Ainsworth, Shrewsbury Town FC manager and truly felt his passion for the club and community. We wrapped up the week with our Professionals Partnership event hosted at Shrewsbury Town FC. Guest speaker, Ian Groves from Start Tech shared key insights on why cyber security is just as important as locking your office at the end of the day! ???? Happy Friday! Here's what we've been up to this week ?? Rachel Owen and Ruth Ross attended our Patron Forum, kindly hosted by Harper Adams University, Telford at The Quad. Businesses learned about how they can collaborate with the University to create exciting opportunities, strengthened connections, and even compete against robots in a game of four in a row ?? Huge thanks to Alastair Dawes, Helen Walker, and Parmjit Chima for an engaging session! The first day of our two day NQual endorsed Digital Marketing course with Inspired Mindset Ltd helped delegates expand their marketing reach and build confidence to improve their strategy and attract prospects. Meanwhile, Amanda Gosling and Suzanne Thorne have been busy preparing for other courses, with many delivered at Shrewsbury Town FC. Members kicked off their morning bright and early at our Network Club at Albrighton Hall Hotel & Spa, a member of Radisson Individuals, where Jon Hepburn from The Fedora Consultancy shared valuable insights on how AI can enhance marketing and sales - while keeping authenticity. ?? This weeks training included Customs Procedures and Documentation with James Tudor from Exporter Services Limited UK, and Emergency First Aid at Work delivered by Louise Madeley from Madeleys First Aid Plus. Ruth Ross has had another busy week - she attended the Construction Excellence event hosted by McPhillips (Wellington) Limited, joined the British Chambers of Commerce devolution group meeting, and caught up with Dr. Julia Buckley and Helen Spencer from WR Partners UK.
