Still reflecting on an incredible experience at the SHRM Women in Leadership Institute conference two weeks ago. From the moment the conference began, I felt honoured to be surrounded by such a diverse group of talented women and energized to feel the sense of shared purpose among the participants. The collective wisdom shared by an outstanding lineup of speakers was transformative and reaffirmed my belief in the power of women lifting each other up in the professional space. Each speaker brought a unique perspective, igniting passion and motivation within us. A few of the key takeaways for me: ??Tamla Oates-Forney emphasized that prioritizing self-care is essential for career success and reminded us that community is our superpower ??Sarah Bettman, CPCC, ORSC-C, MBA outlined the importance of managing our energy vs. managing our time and showed us how to manage our drips and drains, while choosing to do activities that fill our tanks ?? Carla Harris encouraged us to be comfortable being ourselves; “Your authenticy is your distinct competitive advantage” ??Ally Love reminded us that good energy is contagious. Feed the positive voice, ask yourself how you want to feel and how you want others to feel ??Kat Cole gave valuable insight into the power of our influence: “Just because things could be worse, doesn’t mean we don’t have the right and responsibility to make things better.” She also reminded us not to compare our hustle to someone else’s highlight reel A special thank you to Gabriella Driver and the entire Chubb Culture Team for all of the amazing details that made this week such an impactful one, and for all that they are doing to advance women in leadership at Chubb. Now that I’m home and have had the time to reflect on my incredible week at the SHRM Women in Leadership Institute, I can honestly say: I am forever changed. The sessions, the conversations, and the sheer energy of being surrounded by powerful, driven women have reignited a fire within me. It’s hard to put into words how deeply this experience has impacted me, but one thing is crystal clear—my mission is undeniable. I have a calling: to help women advance, to break barriers, and to rise into the leaders they were always meant to be. This past week, I was reminded that leadership isn’t just about position or title. It’s about using your voice, your courage, and your influence to lift others as you climb. It’s about creating spaces where women can thrive, shatter glass ceilings, and unapologetically take their seat at the table—or build their own table when one doesn’t exist. The stories I heard, the strength I witnessed, and the vulnerability we all shared left me both inspired and humbled. I laughed, I cried, and I connected with women who are on the same journey of leading with purpose and authenticity. I left this week not just with tools and strategies, but with a renewed sense of purpose. This is not just a career path for me—it’s a calling. To every woman out there wondering if they’re enough, let me say this: you are enough. Your dreams matter. Your voice matters. Your leadership matters.
