Deskless workers account for 70%-80% of the global workforce and are critical to the success of many organizations. However, many #HRProfessionals say they face unique challenges promoting benefits utilization and enrollment among this population. Addressing these challenges is crucial for the recruitment, engagement, and retention of these essential workers. SHRM's latest research with Fidelity Workplace examines these challenges and identifies strategies to enhance benefits utilization among deskless workers. Findings indicate that after compensation, benefits are the next most critical factor in attracting and retaining these workers. However, nearly half of #HRProfessionals struggle to communicate benefits effectively to deskless employees and 76% of HR professionals find improving benefits utilization more challenging for deskless workers than for office-based employees.
