What a great visit from the Chicago Bears! The Chicago Bears Bear Hug, sponsored by Dunkin' featured their mascot Cuppy along with donuts and coffee for guests. Thank you to Jack Sanborn and Staley Da Bear for stopping by Shriners Children's Chicago. Our patients enjoyed the Build-A-Bear Foundation Buddy Room Teddy Bear Clinic and walked away with their very own teddy bear. Patients enjoyed spending time playing games and getting autographs. Hope from Mane in Heaven Miniature Therapy Horses brought lots of smiles to everyone with her Chicago Bears gear. .????

Let’s revisit these special memories from Chicago Hope Academy Senior Night, Kourtney, 9, from Chicago served as the honorary captain. Kourtney, her mother, and our team had the privilege of enjoying a VIP experience with Coach Mallette and the Eagles football program. During their visit, Coach Mallette learned about the incredible care we provide in orthopedics, prosthetics, cleft palate treatment, and rehabilitation—services available to all, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay, thanks to the Illinois High School Shrine Game. Thank you Chicago HOPE for the amazing welcome.

Our staff celebrated Compliance and Ethics Week with fun activities, online learning and a chance to win prizes. Vernita Taylor, compliance manager, audit & monitoring, from the Shriners Children's Corporate Compliance department interacted with staff in the cafeteria. The activities include games, scrabble puzzles, swag, and information to raise awareness about our system's commitment to ethics, integrity and following all applicable laws, regulations and policies as we provide amazing care for children.
