Shoulder Innovations began with the invention of the core technology – the InSet? Glenoid.
关于我们
The simplicity of our design--born out of our extensive experience--comes down to the basic notion that traditional fixation techniques aren't strong enough and don't last. Our InSet? approach to Glenoid fixation is revolutionizing shoulder arthroplasty and, more importantly, improving procedure longevity--ultimately changing patient's lives.

"When I talk to new surgeon users, I see that refreshed look on their faces. They consistently express two key points: first, they love the product, and second, they’re impressed by the rapid response from their local reps." A recent study reported that 45% (10 of 22 patients) of patients treated surgically for post-operative dislocation after RSA with a leading on-lay system had polyethylene disassociation from the humeral tray. The authors went on to suggest that dislocation with and on-lay system was a risk factor for polyethylene disassociation and that polyethylene disassociation was an impediment to a successful closed reduction, recommending that “the surgeon have a high suspicion for polyethene disassociation and proceed with advanced imaging or additional radiographic views prior to an attempt to closed reduction”1. To reduce the potential for polyethene disassociation, the Shoulder Innovations hybrid inlay InSet? Reverse Shoulder was engineered with a “Twistlock” locking mechanism that improves polyethylene-to-tray pullout strength by 68% when compared to a leading on-lay shoulder2. Citations: 1. "Early in my career, while performing revisions, I encountered significant bone loss associated with traditional peg or keeled glenoid implants, leaving me with limited options for patient treatment. This realization prompted me to think, “If there’s anything I can do to prevent reaching this point, I definitely want to pursue it.” When I found out about the InSet? glenoid and saw the increased stability, and longevity of the implant both in biomechanical studies and clinical studies, and just thinking about how it works, I realized this would be a very good option." - Dr. Diego Villacis Read more about Dr. Diego Villacis' background and experience with the InSet?
