After four years with our logo,?ShotQuality?has evolved beyond basketball, bringing our cutting-edge data and analytics to multiple sports. To reflect this growth, we’re excited to unveil our new logo—a symbol of speed, accuracy, and innovation in sports analytics! ?

ShotQuality is now Multi-Sport! ?? Being honest, I’ve always feared expanding into new sports for two major reasons: focus and true domain expertise outside of basketball. Our business started with me grading shots behind the bench for the Colgate basketball team 5 years ago and since then our team has been locked in on basketball (Besides our FYB tennis project). As a team, we have mastered scaling live data extraction in basketball, processing 25,000+ games across 15+ leagues using computer vision with a human in the loop for correction. Moving to a new sport, however, always felt like a different beast from an infrastructure, sales, and marketing perspective. The last thing we wanted to do was build just for the sake of building or add a new sport just to check TAM boxes… We knew we needed a partner with real sport expertise—someone who had seen the existing datasets, understood the true gaps, and could build out data science models that create real edge. After meeting Scott Bouska and his team at Field Vision Sports, LLC., hearing his passion and nuanced understanding of the game, and discovering what they could do with our technology—it all clicked into place. The gap they uncovered was "quantifying space in real-time". What does that really mean? ?? How close is the nearest defender to the QB when he throws? ?? How many yards before contact for the RB? ?? How much separation has the WR created from the DB? And then, we use this raw data collected in real-time to power more accurate live player props, spreads, and totals by understanding when a team or player is due for positive or negative regression. For example, Garrett Wilson may have 1 catch for 10 yards at halftime on 5 targets, but is separating at 5.4 yards per target. His over “yards” bet would most likely be an undervalued opportunity based on FieldVision’s models.
